Shortly after creating your iMemorized account (typically the first time you try to access the highly secure vault area) you'll be asked to create a security code - an alphanumeric code that is used to unlock the most secure area of your iMemorized account. Your security code must be 6 to 16 characters in length. It is also case sensitive, meaning 'a' is different from 'A'.

For improved security, once you've installed the iMemorized mobile app on a device such as a smartphone or tablet, your security code will no longer be used to access the secure vault area. Instead, you will use a one-time password (OTP) generated using the mobile app. The one-time password is a 6-digit code that changes every 30 seconds.

One-time passwords make your iMemorized account more secure because it provides what's called two-factor authentication. Not only does someone attempting to access your account require your iMemorized password, answers to your security questions, but now they also require your mobile device to access the highly secure vault area.

If you lose your mobile device, simply remove it from your list of devices in the My Account menu (My Devices). Your original security code will be reactivated until you install the iMemorized mobile app on a new device. If you've forgotten your security code, simply access the My Account menu in the web portal and select the Forgot My Security Code menu option and follow the instructions.
